I think you will be much happier with the Gazelle than the Silhouette SD due to its much wider cutting width. Silhouette SD only cuts a max of 7.8" wide, while Gazelle cuts 12.125" wide from its native software. BossKut, makers of the Gazelle, ship internationally. I believe they have a distributor in Switzerland. I am not sure where their other European distributors are located. To cut to the Silhouette SD, You can cut from Illustrator with either machine. My experience cutting from Illustrator to Gazelle is that you are limited to a cutting width of about 11.4" or A3 size. The software that ships with the Gazelle is much easier to learn than Illustrator, and it will import PDF or AIv8 files. Gazelle cuts with much greater speed and pressure than the Silhouette. Silhouette frequently needs a 20 minute rest while cutting very detailed designs, which can be very annoying. This is due to its plastic construction, and its need to cool down, especially when cutting a full page of designs. The Silhouette Studio software leaves much to be desired in terms of design tools, but you can cut to it from Illustrator or CorelDraw

. For me $400 (€295) is no problem, so then I have to make a choice  between the Gazelle or Craft Robo. I like the Robo pro, but for now  €1400 for the Pro is a bit too much... Although that one can crease...  The other thing is, I live in the Netherlands so I need to find a Dutch  reseller, I did find one on http://www.plot4fun.nl/ which sells the Silhouette SD and accesoires. I have a little  experience with Adobe Illustrator and I think it has many export  possibilities. I am looking forward to stop cutting by hand!
