Dear origami, kirigami, origamic architecture, and paper engineering
aficionados:

It’s finally here…my “Kirigami Kit” is available at bn.com, or at
your friendly neighborhood Barnes & Noble Booksellers.

See a pic of it here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/enwhysee/1335685879/

It features original designs from many of the world’s best paper
engineers.

Look for Bekah & Eric Gjerde, Paul Jackson, Masahiro Chatani, Keiko
Nakazawa, Ramin Razani, George Hart, René Bui, Chris Palmer, Jeff
Cole, Christiane Bettens, Willem Boning, Tatyana Stolyarova, Peter
Visser, Chris Hankinson, David Hathaway, Cindy Higham, Magdalena
Jonikas, Pat Kelley, Beatriz Diaz Goodpasture, Kathy Monahan, Liz
Peterson, Mark Hiner, and other traditional models.

Also included is artwork from world-renowned paper cutting artists
including Ingrid Siliakus, Béatrice Coron, Joyce Aysta, Lucrezia
Bieler, Anna Kronick, Fernando Sierra, Jen Stark, Florence Temko, and
Steven R. Woodbury.

I don’t get any royalties…all of the budget went into printing a
beautiful box & book (which I designed, of course) and 30 sheets of
6" paper suitable for the traditional kirigami projects. BYOC: Bring
your own card stock for the OA pieces.

I even admit in the author bio that I “cheated” a bit by using the
Graphtec Craft ROBO to cut most of the work featured; however, I did
score, fold, and glue (when required) everything by hand. Had I
invented my double-sided scoring “secret method” using the Craft ROBO
at the time, I could have eliminated countless hours of painstaking
work. But I’m sure many of you will have a lot of fun with a good old-
fashioned X-Acto knife or sharp scissors!

Yours in cutting and folding,

Jeff
