Hello Kizmet,

I have attached volume 2 of my OA ebook series.....there is a flower bouquet
design you might like for the Spring season.....everyone else, enjoy!

And a very heartfelt "hello" to Sandy, who was a recent guest at my
home.....good luck to you with the OA community site you are planning!

I think I answered most of these questions in person...but for the record:

Questions 1 - 4, concerning which cutting machine I might use.

I personally do not use a machine for prototyping...I've had a long and
happy relationship with the old x-acto/light table....call me old-fashioned.

Question 5: What kind of cutting files would I like to see?

I am a big fan of one-piece construction.

I always root for every part of the pop-up being integral to the design.
(No rectangular "flaps" that are only there to support a part of the
design). Not sure this makes sense....do you know what I mean?

If it were not for Chatani, would any of us be here? Perhaps, but I was
really turned on by Keiko's organic designs.....people, flowers; she really
inspired me to consider things beyond architecture.

And a small "shout-out" to Marivi: I am still using the leather wallet you
gave me as a gift! I think about you and your mother every time I pull it
out!

Chris

Hello Kizmet,
Welcome to the OA group!

Thank you for bringing up this subject.
I happen to be a distributor for cutting machines such as the
Klic-N-Kut(KNK)
and was planning on building a community site where origamic architecture
enthusiasts can share and exchange cutting files for the KNK as well as
other
paper cutters that have been around longer.

Before I invest capital towards building this online community, I had a few
questions for the group:
(1) Do you have a digital paper cutter?
(2) Which paper cutter do you own? (Craft Robo, Wish Blade, Pazzles/DGI, KNK
-
the newest and hottest machine to market)
(3) How long have you had it?
(4) What do you use it for predominately?
(5) What kind of Origamic Architecture cutting files would you like to see?

Thanks muchly in advance,
Sandy
